The change of mobile number or phone number is one such crucial aspect of maintaining an Emirates ID. You can now enter and update your details online. Visit the page to update private information on the ICA website and access this page directly. Once you enter the service portal of ICA, follow these steps to update your phone number:
Step#1: Fill In Your Details
You have to enter some vital information to start filling out the method to update your phone number associated with the Emirates ID:
- Nationality
- Emirates ID number
- Name
- Passport Details
- Date of Birth
- Last Date of Entry
- Email Address
The system auto-generates the Arabic name.
Step#2: Enter the New Phone Number
In the next step, enter the new phone number. You have to check the box adjacent to the ‘Edit Mobile Number’ button and confirm your request to change the present registered mobile number. In addition, ‘confirm’ the country code.
Step#3: Review the Application
Once you provide all the details to the system, it shows the details you just updated. Review these updates and make sure the changes are correct. If not, you have to restart the process from Step#1.
Step#4: Pay
Once all the aforementioned steps are complete, you can pay the fees for the e-service. To update or correct information, the fee is 52.10 AED. You would be redirected to another payment gateway, where you can make the payment and complete the step.
After you paid successfully, you would, once again, be redirected to the website of ICA, where you receive a message regarding the completion of the successful payment.
FAWRI Service
FAIC also provides a FAWRI service, which is urgent, to help residents get their Emirates ID within 24 hours. In this case, there is no need to check Emirates ID status. This service especially exists against regular fees and fees for urgent service.
The service is available for everyone in the UAE, regardless of age. It is also available to GCC nationals residing within the UAE officially. The service may be availed to register for the first time, renew expired cards, and damage or loss of cards.
For foreigners and international residents besides GCC citizens, prompt service can only be availed if they have to change their ID card or renew it. However, the service is related to some procedures and residency proof.
To avail of the service, residents should visit the FAIC Customer Happiness Centres located in different parts of the country. No prior appointment is required. However, make sure you are carrying all the necessary documents.
